The Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2), has been used in many studies on technology adoption. This book examines the correlation between privacy concerns and the behavioral intention to adopt smartwatches by developing the constructs of privacy awareness, privacy concerns, perceived privacy risk, privacy risk, and privacy settings use. Using SmartPLS software and the PLS-SEM technique, together, these constructs were examined against the dependent variable, behavioral intention, on smartwatch adoption. The study found that privacy awareness is a significant contributor to explaining the variance of behavioral intention in smartwatch adoption. As well, this study observed that privacy concerns have a negative correlation to behavioral intention and detract from the behavioral intention to adopt smartwatches.
